Children’s Mindfulness Workshop (6 – 8 year olds)

There appears to be an increasing number of children experiencing anxiety from a very young age. There are many theories out there as to why this is so prevalent in modern day society.

My own personal feeling is that children don’t spend enough time in quiet, in nature, in stillness, being with and exploring their own thoughts, feelings and emotions without anyone jumping in to fix it for them.

In this fun exploratory 1.5 hour workshop we will play with several different mindfulness techniques children can use to calm and quiet their mind such as breathing exercises, mindful movement & yoga, drawing, singing, mindful eating, playful explorations on how to practice presence, peacefulness and feeling/sensing energy.

A multi-ethnic group of elementary age children are doing yoga together during recess. They are sitting on their exercise mats and are meditating.

*Please bring a yoga mat for your child. If you don’t have one, let me know and I can supply extras
