Our Teacher Training Program runs from September - May of each year.
Are you interested in becoming a Pilates Teacher but not sure if it’s the right fit? Join us for our information night April 14th 2026 at 7:30pm (RSVP only to lori@mindfulmovement.ca)

This integrative Pilates Teacher Training program is lead by Mindful Movement owner, Lori Thompson (NCPT®).  Lori has been teaching and practicing Pilates for 30+ years. With her background in teaching meditation classes and as a Franklin Method Educator, she will inspire and infuse your learning space with enthusiasm, wisdom and a wealth of knowledge from her expansive and well rounded background in teaching about movement and mindfulness.

Lori completed her first comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program in 2001 with Stott Pilates. Over the last 2 decades she has trained with classical teachers from the Jay Grimes Lineage as well as Amy Alpers and Rachel Taylor Segel (Pilates Center) Lineage and is currently completing the Heritage Program, a post graduate diploma with Cara Reeser (Kathy Grant Lineage)

Lori’s knowledge and blend of classical and contemporary Pilates will bring you the very best of both of these worlds.

In this course you will learn the complete classical Pilates repertoire as well as more contemporary adaptations, philosophy, history and anatomy and physiology and how that relates to the Pilates exercises. You will have guided instruction and teaching mentorship throughout your time studying with Mindful Movement and you will leave with all the skills necessary to teach at studios all around the world.
