Did you know that sitting is considered ‘the new smoking’? The negative health impacts of too much sitting are too long to list but If you answered yes to any of these questions, Pilates Reformer might be just what you’re looking for.

Why a class for men only? There’s a couple of reasons. Most of our classes are already solely women so if a woman wants a women’s class it’s easy for us to accommodate that, however, we also wanted to create a space where men too could feel comfortable trying something new. The other reason is that, generally speaking, men tend to be tight in similar areas (hamstrings and low backs for starters).

What’s become more and more apparent over the past few years is the number of men I know or meet who have been able to play hard their whole lives and then suddenly (or more likely, slowly but surely), something changed and all that hard play is beginning to catch up to them. What this usually looks like is becoming more prone to injuries, lack of flexibility, joint and muscle pain or discomfort – particularly in the low back and neck, low energy and poor posture to name a few.
The Pilates Reformer is a piece of exercise equipment that is designed to elongate and stretch the muscle while it is contracted, thus getting the benefit of strength and flexibility simultaneously.
